Savanna's are designed to be form-fitting and will typically mold to your feet after you wear them three to five times making them the comfiest sandals you’ll ever own!
Your flip flops have an eco-friendly tread made from recycled tires and a proprietary Air8ted Rubber Blend from our sustainable manufacturer in South Africa. The straps are made from PVC, and while they are not currently made from recycled materials, we hope to develop a recycled strap for future versions.
The black soles on your flip flops are the perfect reminder of the eco-friendly nature of the materials they’re made from. Most flip flops are made from raw rubber, which is white and offers a clean canvas for colored dyes. Unlike most flip flops, Savanna’s are made from recycled rubber tires which are chemically modified with Carbon black. Carbon black gives your sandals their strength and durability, but also prevents them from degrading over time. When Carbon black is added, it makes tires (you guessed it) black. While this prevents us from adding any color to the tread of our sandals, you’ll never forget where your flip flops came from!
At an environmentally conscious manufacturing facility in South Africa. We wanted to clean-up waste and pollution in Africa, and we definitely wanted to manufacture our sandals in close proximity to this waste in an effort to keep our carbon footprint under control. With those priorities in mind, we set out to find a manufacturer who valued sustainable practices as much as we do, and who was willing to try something new: turn tires into sandals (and whatever else we come up with)!
Because we have created an entirely new product, you will be among the first thousand people to wear them! So while we can't yet put a firm mileage estimate on them, we are committed to producing high-quality, durable products.
Your eco-friendly flip flops contain recycled tires which contain Carbon black and thus will not degrade in a landfill, but you can return them to us for proper disposal!
We offer 14 calendar days to return sandals from the date you received them: The shipping cost of your first return is on us! Make sure you email support@joinsavanna.com to let us know.
To be eligible for a return, your sandals must be unused and in the same condition that you received them. You may also return any sandals that experience manufacturers defects.
Please include the original shipping receipt or proof of purchase. Once we receive your returned sandals, we will inspect them and notify you that we have received them. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). Typically you will receive the credit within 3-5 business days, but this depends on your card issuer's policies.
We want to make sure you get the right size! Exchanges of unworn sandals are free of charge. Note your first return or exchange is on us!
